Re: Access To University Travel Discounts Through Connexxus Travel Portal
The University of California’s online portal for booking business travel, Connexxus, gives UC travelers’ access to airfare, lodging and rental cars at the university's negotiated discount rates. All faculty and staff who make arrangements for university travel are strongly encouraged to use this new service for all travel planning.
Connexxus offers one-stop access to airfare, lodging and rental cars through BCD Travel, Orbitz for Connexxus, or UC Travel Center (located at UCLA). Travel may be booked online or by phone through full-service agents. To access Connexxus, log in to MyTravel and follow the link to “Connexxus Travel Portal.”
The Connexxus system accepts CTS payments for airfare only, and only when booked through BCD or UC Travel Center. Corporate cards may be used for all travel arrangements for employees. Personal credit cards may be used for hotel and car travel arrangements for non-employees and for employees not eligible for a corporate card. Effective August 1, 2009, the four travel agencies currently used by UC Davis will no longer accept CTS and YCAL payments.
Connexxus training, including taped and live webinars, and an informational Web site dedicated to Connexxus users, are available through Staff Development & Professional Services and MyTravel.
