UC DAVIS: University Outreach & International Programs September 12, 2008 DEANS, DIRECTORS, DEPARTMENT CHAIRS AND ADMINISTRATIVE OFFICERS (Davis Campus Only) Re: Request for Seed Grant Proposals-University Outreach & International Programs Seven years ago our office established a Seed Grants for Outreach & International Activities fund to stimulate new and creative initiatives in these two critical areas. So far we have awarded over a million dollars to 108 diverse programs across the UC Davis campus. We request proposals that will foster new programs and initiatives related to: 1) University outreach (continuing, distance, and lifelong learning, and academic engagement with the broader society), or 2) International activities (international research, educational, and outreach programs). UC Davis faculty and academic personnel are eligible to apply. Funding ranges from $1,000 to $10,000 per proposal. Due to limited funding, preference will be given to faculty and academic personnel who have not been awarded a seed grant in the last 2 years. Proposals are due by 5 p.m. on Monday, October 27, 2008.
