UC DAVIS: OFFICES OF THE CHANCELLOR AND PROVOST June 30, 2008 DEANS, DIRECTORS, DEPARTMENT CHAIRS, AND ADMINISTRATIVE OFFICERS RE: Cal Aggie Alumni Association Alumni Awards Nominations Each year the Cal Aggie Alumni Association recognizes outstanding personal and professional accomplishments of UC Davis graduates. It is time to begin the process of selecting our 2009 honorees and to invite your participation. We depend on you and others close to the university to submit names of individuals whose notable accomplishments reflect well on their alma mater. You all know “winners” among our alumni, but these awards come their way only if you nominate them. We would also appreciate your discussing these awards with your colleagues and encouraging their nominations. For your convenience, nomination materials, which include award descriptions, a list of all prior recipients, and a nomination form, can also be found online at http://www.alumni.ucdavis.edu/awards/. PLEASE SUBMIT YOUR NOMINATIONS BY FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 5, 2008 Selections will be made in September and awardees will be notified in early October. The 2009 awards program is planned for Saturday, January 24, 2009, at Freeborn Hall.
