RE: Traffic and Parking Impacts Due to Memorial Service
A Memorial Service for fallen Yolo County Sheriff's Deputy Jose Antonio "Tony" Diaz
will be held on campus, Friday, June 27, 11 a.m. at the ARC Pavilion.
Approximately 5,000 law enforcement officials from throughout the state, in
approximately 1500 law enforcement vehicles, are expected to begin arriving as early
as 9 a.m.
The following roads will be heavily affected:
* Hutchison Drive and LaRue will be the main thoroughfares for accessing parking and
the service. Please watch your speeds in these areas.
* Signs will be placed to direct individuals from Highway 113 to Hutchison Drive.
* Cone patterns will be placed on Hutchison Drive to assist those attending.
* There is a possibility that the northbound curb lane of LaRue may be coned off for
law enforcement parking.
Parking will be allocated as follows:
* West Entry Parking Structure floors 4-6
Law enforcement vehicles only
* Lot 25 (ARC):
Law enforcement parking only
* Lot 30 (West of Rec Pool Lodge)
General public
* Lot 35 (Human Resources Building)
Media as well as general public
* Lots 40 and 41 (West of Surge III)
Fire vehicles, law enforcement, and overflow public parking
Please understand there may be changes to accommodate last minute needs. The service
should conclude by 1 p.m.
