UC DAVIS: FINANCIAL AID March 5, 2008 DEANS, DIRECTORS, DEPARTMENT CHAIRPERSONS, AND ADMINISTRATIVE OFFICERS RE: UC Davis Summer Job Fair This information should be shared with staff who are responsible for hiring student employees. You are invited to participate in the UC Davis Summer Job Fair, on Wednesday, April 16, from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. in Freeborn Hall. Sponsored by the Student Employment Center, the fair will bring to campus as many as seventy companies from Davis and nearby communities. UC Davis students will have the opportunity to visit with prospective employers to obtain job information, applications, and to sign up for employment interviews. For those campus departments who would like to have greater access to UC Davis student employees during the summer months, this is the perfect venue to recruit your student employees. You can provide written information about any expected job fair opening and schedule follow-up interviews on the spot. We take care of the advertising for the fair including: 3 days of print advertising in the Aggie, radio ads, e-mails to student listserves, and distribution of signs and flyers. Because this is such a popular event with students seeking summer employment, we anticipate a great turnout. The registration fee is $50.00, which includes a continental breakfast and one lunch. Each employer will be assigned an 8' table in Freeborn Hall and space for your department's display or banner. Many UC Davis students rely on year-round employment to help defray the cost of their education. The goal of the Student Employment Center is to bring together employers looking for motivated employees and students looking for great summer job opportunities. If you would like to join us for this exciting event, please complete and return the attached registration form to the Student Employment Center by March 17, 2008.
