UC DAVIS: OFFICE OF THE CHANCELLOR February 13, 2008 DEANS, DIRECTORS, DEPARTMENT CHAIRS, AND ADMINISTRATIVE OFFICERS PLEASE MAKE THIS AVAILABLE TO ALL FACULTY AND STAFF SUBJECT: Upcoming Interviews for Provost and Executive Vice Chancellor I am writing to announce a change in the schedule of campus forums for Provost and Executive Vice Chancellor. Meredith Hay from the University of Iowa, originally scheduled to visit the campus on February 14 and February 15, has withdrawn from consideration. The first forum, with Dr. Pramod Khragonekar, Dean of the College of Engineering at the University of Florida, took place on February 11. The remaining two forums are: Dr. Andrew B. Wachtel Dean of the Graduate School; Bertha and Max Dressler Professor in the Humanities Northwestern University Tuesday, February 19 4:10-5:30 p.m. University Club, Club Room Dr. Mriganka Sur Head of the Department of Brain & Cognitive Sciences; Sherman Fairchild Professor of Neuroscience Massachusetts Institute of Technology Wednesday, February 20 4:10-5:30 p.m. University Club, Lounge Each forum consists of a brief presentation on "The Roles and Obligations of the Public Research University" and question period followed by a reception. All members of the campus community are invited to attend. Candidate curriculum vitae are attached.
