Handy Leadership Award - Call for Nominations The University of California, Davis, is calling for nominations for the 4th annual Calvin E. Handy Leadership Award. The purpose of the Calvin E. Handy Leadership Award is to recognize an individual community member, group or organization that, through leadership actions, has made significant contributions in the area of public safety and security to the campus or medical center community. The award was developed by members of the campus community to honor Police Chief Emeritus Calvin E. Handy's legacy of public service and leadership. Criteria for the award: the nominee, through leadership actions, has established a sustainable program or has cultivated and/or enhanced relationships that encourage two or more groups to collaborate and create an identifiable impact on public safety and security for the campus or medical center community. The award recipient will be recognized at the "Soaring to New Heights" annual awards ceremony. This event will take place on April 8, 2008, from 11:15 - 1:30 p.m. at Freeborn Hall.
