UC DAVIS: ACADEMIC SENATE January 7, 2008 MEMBERS OF THE ACADEMIC SENATE; DEANS, DIRECTORS, DEPARTMENT CHAIRS, ADMINISTRATIVE OFFICERS, AND MEMBERS OF THE ACADEMIC SENATE RE: 2007-08 Distinguished Scholarly Public Service Award Attached is the Call for Nominations and the award flyer for the 2007-08 Distinguishe Scholarly Public Service Award. PLEASE POST the flyer in a visible location in your department and seek out worthy candidates to nominate. This award will be presented by the Davis Division of the Academic Senate to up to four (4) deserving faculty members who have made significant contributions to the world, nation, state, and community through distinguished scholarly public service. In addition to the extraordinarily long term of service, the committee is very interested in reviewing what a newer faculty member may have done in a relatively short period of time. The recipient(s) will receive a stipend. The Call for Nominations can also be found on the Academic Senate web page at http://academicsenate.ucdavis.edu/committees/public_service.cfm. Please note that the deadline for receipt of nominations is Friday, February 1, 2008. All nominations must be submitted electronically to emarevalo@ucdavis.edu.
