UC DAVIS: ACADEMIC PERSONNEL November 27, 2007 DEANS, DIRECTORS, DEPARTMENT CHAIRS, AND ADMINISTRATIVE OFFICERS RE: 2007-2008 ACADEMIC RANGE ADJUSTMENT Below are the links for the 2007-2008 range adjustment for academic titles. The first link is the letter describing the systemwide adjustments. Letter from Office of the President: http://www.ucop.edu/acadadv/acadpers/tab0708/letter.pdf October 1, 2007 Salary Scales: http://www.ucop.edu/acadadv/acadpers/tab0708/tabcont.html In addition to the changes outlined in the letter from the Office of the President above, off-scale salaries will be range adjusted by 2.5%, including those associated with the new Davis Professorial Salary Supplement (i.e., DPSS). After this range adjustment occurs, those whose cost-of-living adjusted salaries are lower than the new market salary scale for their rank and step will receive the market adjustment component of salary increase. Off-scale increments will be subsumed by the amount of this market adjustment at each rank and step. Those with an off-scale salary component or Davis Professorial Salary Supplement (DPSS) that results in a total salary rate that exceeds the new market adjusted rate will have a reduced off-scale component that will continue to be subject to reduction according to APM 620 or DPSS reduction rules respectively. The range adjustment will be retroactive to October 1, 2007, and will be reflected in the December 1st paycheck. Please contact your dean or my office at 752-2072 if you have any questions. Bruce R.
