UC DAVIS: Academic Senate November 21, 2007 Deans, Directors, Department Chairs, and Administrative Officers RE: 2007-08 Distinguished Teaching Awards The Davis Division of the Academic Senate invites nominations of candidates for the 2007-08 Distinguished Teaching Awards. Please note, there are two separate categories: 1) Distinguished Teaching Awards - for Undergraduate Teaching; and 2) Distinguished Teaching Awards - for Graduate and Professional Teaching Nominations must clearly designate the appropriate category. Nominations are sought from any member of the academic community: students, faculty, staff, alumni, departments, or units; however, successful nominations typically provide the perspective of both students and faculty. The Distinguished Teaching Award Committee urges faculty to work with students to help them develop a successful dossier for faculty they seek to nominate for this award. Information on the nomination procedure is available online at: http://academicsenate.ucdavis.edu/committee_dta.cfm. Deadlines for Nominations: All nomination letters/forms must be submitted electronically to bdrodman@ucdavis.edu in the Academic Senate Office before 5:00 p.m., Friday, January 11, 2008. If you have questions, or need additional information, please contact Bryan Rodman, Academic Senate Office at 530-752-3920 or bdrodman@ucdavis.edu.
