RE: 2007 Academic Federation Research Grant Program Innovative Developmental Awards
I am pleased to announce the second annual Call for Applications for the Academic Federation
Research Grant Program - Innovative Developmental Awards (IDAs). These awards provide support
for AF members in research titles to conduct exploratory research in new areas for which they
currently have insufficient preliminary data for a competitive grant application to extramural
sources. Research proposed in IDA applications may be formative in nature. Proposals should
be creative, intellectually exciting, and show clear promise to yield findings that could
serve as the basis for a well-defined future research application.
Based on total funds available this year for the program ($50,000), it is expected that there
will be 5-7 awards ranging between $3,000 - $10,000 each. The 2007 CALL FOR APPLICATIONS and
