UC DAVIS: OFFICE OF THE CHANCELLOR January 8, 2007 DEANS, DIRECTORS, DEPARTMENT CHAIRS, AND ADMINISTRATIVE OFFICERS RE: Recruitment for Vice Chancellor-Student Affairs I write to announce a national search to fill the position of Vice Chancellor-Student Affairs on a permanent basis. The Vice Chancellor-Student Affairs is responsible for initiating, developing, and maintaining programs and services that support students in their academic pursuits, provide stewardship for the campus climate, and promote leadership, teamwork, and social responsibility. A copy of the position announcement is attached. We seek candidates of the highest caliber whose leadership ability and commitment to excellence will contribute significantly to our campus. Please share the attached position announcement with all faculty and staff in your department and encourage them to nominate individuals they believe would be appropriate for the position.
