UC DAVIS: ACADEMIC SENATE Public Service Committee October 10, 2006 DEANS, DIRECTORS, DEPARTMENT CHAIRS, AND ADMINISTRATIVE OFFICERS RE: 2006-07 Distinguished Scholarly Public Service Award Attached is the Call for Nominations for the 2006-07 Distinguished Scholarly public Service Award (which can also be found by clicking on the link below). Would you PLEASE POST THE FLIER THAT IS ALSO ATTACHED to this email in a visible location in your department and seek out worthy candidates to nominate? This award will be presented by the Davis Division of the Academic Senate to up to four (4) deserving faculty members who have made significant contributions to the world, nation, state, and community through distinguished scholarly public service. In addition to the extraordinarily long term of service, the committee is very interested in reviewing what a newer faculty member may have done in a relatively short period of time. The recipient(s) will receive a stipend. The Call for Nominations can also be found on the Academic Senate web page at http://academicsenate.ucdavis.edu/documents/call_for_nominations_DSPSA06-07.pdf. Please note that the deadline for receipt of nominations is Thursday, November 30, 2006. All nominations must be submitted electronically to ksvonrummelhoff@ucdavis.edu.
