UC DAVIS: VICE CHANCELLOR - RESEARCH June 14, 2006 DEANS, DIRECTORS, DEPARTMENT CHAIRS, AND ADMINISTRATIVE OFFICERS UC DAVIS FACULTY RE: Office of Research Relocation The Office of Research will consolidate locations of its administrative units at the Davis campus to 1850 Research Park Drive, Davis, on July 21, 2006. When space became available at this site, the decision was made to bring together services in order to better leverage the effectiveness of operations and meet the increasing needs of the campus's growing research enterprise. The units listed below will join the Office of Research's Technology and Industry Alliances unit already located at this building, in Suite 100. The following Office of Research units will be moving to 1850 Research Park Drive, Suite 300: * The Vice Chancellor's Office (currently at Mrak Hall, 4th Floor) * Interdisciplinary Research Support (currently at Everson Hall) * Sponsored Programs (currently at Everson Hall). The move will occur Friday, July 21 through Monday, July 24, and these units will be closed for business during this period. Normal business will resume on Tuesday, July 25. Technology and Industry Alliances will remain open for business. The Institutional Review Board Administration, located in Sacramento, will remain at its current location and also maintain normal business hours. Effective July 25, research proposals may be dropped off either at 1850 Research Park Drive, Suite 300, or at 402 Mrak Hall.
