UC DAVIS: OFFICE OF THE CHANCELLOR December 2, 2005 DEANS, DIRECTORS, DEPARTMENT CHAIRS, AND ADMINISTRATIVE OFFICERS RE: Statement of Ethical Values and Standards of Ethical Conduct In recognition of its special obligations as a public institution, the University of California has developed a Statement of Ethical Values and Standards of Ethical Conduct to guide the actions of members of the University community in all aspects of their work. Recently adopted by the Regents, these documents are now official University policy. As noted in the cover letterfrom Regent Parsky and President Dynes, related Web-based training will be available to members of the UC community in early 2006. More details will be provided as they become available. I encourage you to read these documents and to retain them for future reference. A link to them will also be placed on the Chancellor's homepage. The documents are a valuable reminder of the principles that have guided us well as a campus in the past, and that will continue to do so into the future. Larry N. Vanderhoef Chancellor 05-129
