RE: Parking Space Displacement in Lot 46

Effective Friday, September 3, 2004, fifty-nine parking spaces on the east end
of Lot 46 (south of the Academic Surge Building) will be permanently displaced
to make room for the construction of the new Watershed Project.

Available parking for "A," "C" and visitor parking permits can be found in Lots
47 (west of Meyer Hall), 47A (south of Tercero Housing), South Entry Parking
Structure (south of the Mondavi Center) and Lot 1 (south of the South Entry
Parking Structure). Additionally, for those patrons who wish to purchase the
discounted "L" permit, Lot 2 (southwest of Lot 1) is available to accommodate
their campus access needs. Did you know that by purchasing an "L" permit ($20/month)
versus an "A" permit ($46/month) or a "C" permit ($37/month), you can save $312 or
$204 a year respectively? Although "L" spaces are not available in all areas of
the campus and are less conveniently located outside the core of campus, they are
still within a reasonable walk to many campus locations. Many who park in "L" lots
consider the added time for walking a pleasant part of their day and enjoy the
monthly savings. Additionally, bicycle parking is available within the "L"
designated lots and adjacent to the "L" designated roadways to facilitate parking
your vehicle on campus and using your bicycle to commute to your ultimate campus
destination(s).

Please call Parking Services at 752-TAPS or email at taps@ucdavis.edu, if
you have questions or require additional information. Thank you for your
understanding and attention in support of this important campus project.

Sincerely,

Clifford A. Contreras
Director
