UC DAVIS: Vice Chancellor - Student Affairs June 2, 2004 DEANS, DIRECTORS, DEPARTMENT CHAIRPERSONS AND CAMPUS/UCDHS ADMINISTRATIVE OFFICERS RE: The UC Davis Activities and Recreation Center (ARC) Membership Program Faculty/staff that wish to receive full access to the UC Davis Activities and Recreation Center's (ARC's) facilities and programs can do so until June 30, 2004, AT NO COST TO THE FACULTY/ STAFF MEMBER. Current UC Davis faculty/staff members as well as new faculty/ staff members who wish to purchase memberships to the ARC will be able to do so beginning July 1, 2004. With the opening of the ARC on April 19, 2004, temporary ID's are being issued to all faculty/staff members until July 1, 2004. In order to obtain a temporary ID, a faculty/ staff member must sign the ARC's intent to purchase form located at the information desk in ARC's main lobby. A faculty/staff member must show a photo ID and their blue employee identification card or Personnel Action Form in order to obtain their temporary ARC ID card. On July 1, 2004 all faculty/staff members will be subject to the current membership fee for faculty/staff memberships. Each faculty/staff member must decide to sign up on either a monthly or annual membership plan. This fee will be due and payable beginning on July 1, 2004. Immediate family members living in the same household of current faculty/staff members are eligible for membership to the ARC. Immediate family members must be 18 years or older, no exceptions. Immediate family members are defined as a spouse, partner or dependant over the age of 18 of an existing faculty/staff member. Proof of cohabitation status (joint checks, bills with both names) must be presented at the time of membership purchase as well as a driver's license or passport. Family members of faculty/staff are subject to the same rates, policies and procedures of UC Davis faculty/staff members as noted above. At this time, there is no discounted rate for family memberships. ARC members must accompany family members upon purchase of family pass.
