UC DAVIS: IET-Communications Resources May 18, 2004 DEANS, DIRECTORS, DEPARTMENT CHAIRS AND CAMPUS/UCDHS ADMINISTRATIVE OFFICERS Subject: Telephone Service Maintenance - May 23, 3AM-6AM On Sunday, May 23, SBC will be removing disconnected telephone equipment from the campus. The process requires SBC to physically isolate power supplies that serve both the disconnected equipment and the campus PBX. Although the probability of an outage to campus telephone services is minimal, there is a possibility that voice telephone access to and from off-campus locations could be affected for a maximum of fifteen minutes during the service window. This window has been scheduled for Sunday morning, May 23 between 3:00 am and 6:00 am. Campus telephone service to and from local and long distance services could be denied momentarily in the unlikely event of an actual service outage.
