UC DAVIS: ARCHITECTS & ENGINEERS April 15, 2004 DEANS, DIRECTORS, DEPARTMENT CHAIRS AND CAMPUS ADMINISTRATIVE OFFICERS Subject: Road Closure - California Avenue; April 21 to April 30, 2004 As a result of utility work being performed at the Mathematical Sciences Building (MSB) project, California Avenue will be closed to vehicular, bicycle and pedestrian traffic. The road closure will occur at the east side of the MSB project, near the drives to Physics-Geology and Facilities Services buildings. Vehicular access from California Avenue to Physics-Geology will be blocked. Deliveries to Physics-Geology, as well as emergency vehicle access, will be routed to Bainer Hall Drive, continuing along the north side of Crocker, then south. Bollards along this route will be removed for the duration of the road closure. See attached campus diagram. For safety reasons it is requested that all cyclists and pedestrians adhere to the posted detour signs. If you have any questions, please contact Project Manager, Mona Perez at (530) 304-6507 or Project Inspectors Scott Davis at (530) 979-0593 and Parry Laird at (530) 304-1331.
