UC DAVIS: OFFICE OF THE PROVOST November 10, 2003 DEANS, DIRECTORS, AND DEPARTMENT CHAIRS ACADEMIC FEDERATION MEMBERS RE: Professional Development Program for Eligible Academic Federation Members I am pleased to announce that the Professional Development Program will provide awards for the 2004-2005 academic year. The application instructions and cover sheet are posted on the Vice Provost -- Academic Personnel web site at: http://academicpersonnel.ucdavis.edu/awards.cfm This competitive program provides funding to enable the pursuit of professional development activities that will enhance an individual’s effectiveness and range of capabilities in his/her current position. Unit 18 members are not eligible for this program. Rather, they are eligible for the new professional development program for unit 18 members, an announcement of which will be forthcoming. Please note that the proposal, the department chair’s letter, and any optional supporting letter must be forwarded to the dean or other appropriate administrative officer no later than December 5, 2003. Dean’s offices should transmit the applications and supporting material to the Office of the Vice Provost -- Academic Personnel by December 23, 2003.
