Re: ASUCD-Davis Community Fall Blood Drive

Please consider donating blood during the upcoming blood drive on Tuesday
and Wednesday, September 9 and 10, 2003, from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. in MU
II, Memorial Union. As a special thank you, everyone who donates will
receive a free t-shirt.

BloodSource values the faculty and staff who faithfully donate blood at the
ASUCD blood drives. Departmental release time is appropriate for staff
wishing to donate. To help alleviate waiting times, a designated area for
faculty and staff is available in the Mee and Moss Rooms, 3rd Floor,
Memorial Union.

To donate blood, you must be at least 17 years old (16 with parental
consent), weigh 110 pounds or more (a smaller unit may be collected if you
weigh less), and be in generally good health. We ask that you do not
donate blood if you have had cold or flu symptoms within the 48 hours prior
to donating. Please eat and drink plenty of fluids before donating blood
and bring picture identification for registration purposes.

All staff, faculty, students, and alumni are members of the ASUCD-Davis
community blood program, which provides members and their families with 100
percent coverage for blood and blood costs.

Thank you for your continued support in promoting and participating in this
event and for your ongoing concern about healthcare in our community.

For further information, please call Melissa Raski, ASUCD Blood Drive
Director, at (530) 756-3004.

Larry N. Vanderhoef
Chancellor
