UC DAVIS: OFFICE OF THE CHANCELLOR September 30, 2002 PLEASE MAKE THIS INFORMATION AVAILABLE TO ALL EMPLOYEES DEANS, DIRECTORS, DEPARTMENT CHAIRS, AND CAMPUS/UCDMC ADMINISTRATIVE OFFICERS RE: Release Time for Staff to Participate in Fall Convocation The 2002 Fall Convocation is scheduled for Wednesday, October 2, at Jackson Hall in the new Robert and Margrit Mondavi Center for the Performing Arts from 11 a.m to 12 noon. The Convocation is open to all members of the campus community: faculty, staff, students, alumni and friends. The theme of the Convocation is "A Celebration of the Arts at UC Davis" and will feature the campus's performing arts departments and remarks by Chancellor Larry Vanderhoef. Everyone is invited to a reception immediately following the Convocation in the F. Earl and Coralie Corin Courtyard at the northeast corner of the Mondavi Center. Attendees are also invited to take part in the Mondavi Center open house at any time between noon and 2:00 p.m. Please ensure that academic and staff supervisors encourage staff employees to attend.
