UC DAVIS: UCD QUARTER CENTURY CLUB July 19, 2002 ALL CAMPUS/UCDMC UNITS ATTENTION: DEPARTMENT MANAGERS RE: UCD QUARTER CENTURY CLUB Faculty and career staff are eligible for UCD Quarter Century Club membership when they have completed 25 years of service to the University. The 25th year of service must be at the campus, UCDMC, or some other location under the jurisdiction of UC Davis. The attached list represents eligible employees as calculated by hire dates and any previous service recorded in the payroll/personnel system. PLEASE NOTE: THE ATTACHED LIST INCLUDES ONLY EMPLOYEES WHO COMPLETED 25 YEARS OF SERVICE AT 50% TIME OR MORE BETWEEN JULY 1, 2001 AND JUNE 30, 2002. IT DOES NOT INCLUDE EMPLOYEES WHO WERE ELIGIBLE IN YEARS PAST WHO MAY ALREADY BE QUARTER CENTURY CLUB MEMBERS. For various reasons, this list could be incomplete or it could incorrectly represent the employee's actual service credit (e.g., service prior to the most recent date of hire, reciprocal service with another employer as defined by policy, or a break in service). Therefore, please review the list for completeness and accuracy, including each employee's full name, hire date and service credit. IF THERE IS NO LIST ATTACHED TO THIS LETTER, NO ONE IN YOUR DEPARTMENT APPEARS AS ELIGIBLE THIS PAST FISCAL YEAR. If you believe there are other employees who have become eligible this year, and whose names do not appear, please provide us with the employee's name, home department, and date of hire. We will verify the information you submit through the payroll/personnel system. If eligible, they will be invited to attend the annual UCD Quarter Century Club dinner and meeting to be held on Thursday, October 24, 2002, in Freeborn Hall. It is important to recognize employees for this important milestone in their service, and so we thank you for your help in identifying those who have earned such recognition.
