UC DAVIS:Architects & Engineers June 12, 2002 DEANS, DIRECTORS, DEPARTMENT CHAIRS, AND CAMPUS ADMINISTRATIVE OFFICERS Subject: Segundo Housing Area - New Construction Construction of new student housing began in the Segundo area on June 3, 2002. Various utility projects will be under construction in the Segundo area starting this summer. Construction of a new dining commons will begin early fall. All of these projects will impact walkways and bike paths in the surrounding area. Signage will be posted indicating construction zones and path detours, which will change many times throughout the course of these projects. Parking Lot 23 was permanently closed due to this construction. With the closing of the residence halls on June 15th, first year students will no longer be permitted to park on campus and, therefore, the parking impacts will be mitigated at that time.
