UC DAVIS: Vice Chancellor - Administration October 31, 2001 DEANS, DIRECTORS, DEPARTMENT CHAIRS, AND CAMPUS ADMINISTRATIVE OFFICERS RE: Benefits and Wellness Faire, Wednesday, November 7, 2001 The campus Benefits Office, in cooperation with the UCD Staff Assembly, will host the 2001 Benefits and Wellness Faire on Wednesday, November 7, at Freeborn Hall from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. This annual Faire provides an opportunity for employees to learn more about improving or maintaining a healthy lifestyle, as well as learning about their group insurance plan benefits from the insurance carriers. The highlight of the Benefits and Wellness Faire will be the myriad of wellness activities, including bone density testing for osteoporosis (at a nominal fee) and massage therapy. All UC Davis group insurance carriers will be available to answer questions concerning the University's health plans and discuss the 2002 health care plans and benefits for employees. The Faire provides an excellent opportunity for employees to meet with health care providers in preparation for this year's Open Enrollment period, which runs from November 1-30, 2001. The importance of healthy employees who are aware of current health care trends and issues makes this annual event a high priority for every employee.
