UC DAVIS: OFFICE OF THE CHANCELLOR August 30, 2001 DEANS, DIRECTORS, DEPARTMENT CHAIRS, AND CAMPUS/UCDMC ADMINISTRATIVE OFFICERS RE: Cal Aggie-Davis Blood Drive Please consider donating blood during the upcoming blood drive on Tuesday and Wednesday, September 4-5, 2001, from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. in MU II. All blood types are needed. As a special thank you, everyone who donates will receive a coupon for a free pint of ice cream at any participating Northern California Baskin Robbins store. Departmental release time is appropriate for staff wishing to donate. To help alleviate waiting times, there will be a special section for only faculty and staff held in the DeCarli Room in MU II. To donate blood, you must be at least 17 years old (16 with parental consent), weigh 110 pounds or more (a smaller unit may be collected if you weigh less), and be in generally good health. We ask that you do not donate blood if you have had cold or flu symptoms within the 48 hours prior to donating. Please eat and drink plenty of fluids before donating blood and bring picture identification for registration purposes. All staff, faculty, students, and alumni are members of the Cal Aggie-Davis Community blood program, which provides members and their families with 100 percent coverage for blood and blood costs.
