UC DAVIS: ARCHITECTS & ENGINEERS July 25, 2001 DEANS, DIRECTORS, DEPARTMENT CHAIRS, AND CAMPUS ADMINISTRATIVE OFFICERS Re: Closure Of Hutchison/Dairy Road Bike Way and Sprocket Bike Way Monday, July 30 through Friday, September 14, 2001 Continued Closure of North Quad between California and West Quad through Friday, August 10, 2001 The piping work for the Chilled Water Distribution Improvements project in North Quad will be extending into the Sprocket Bike Way (between Cruess and Hoagland Halls) beginning Monday, July 30, 2001 and completed by Friday, September 14, 2001. North Quad between California and West Quad will remain closed to vehicular traffic until August 10, 2001 due to repaving. As the construction moves west into the Sprocket Bike Way area, bicycle and pedestrian traffic will be detoured around construction. Fencing will be erected and open trenches will be plated at night. Detour and warning signs will be posted. The temporary security fence will move as needed. Piping work will begin in the Hutchison/Dairy Road Bike Way on Monday July 30, 2001, and completed by Friday, September 14, 2001. The Hutchison/Dairy Road Bike Way will be closed from Hutchison Drive north to the northeast entrance to Recreation Hall at the "Challenger Memorial Grove". Bicycle and pedestrian traffic will be detoured. Fencing will be erected. The Hutchison/Dairy Road Bike Way will remain closed to bicycles and pedestrian traffic throughout the construction work. Detour and warning signs will be posted. The temporary security fence will move as needed.
