Re: Town meeting - Discontinuance of Social Security Numbers as ID Numbers
As indicated in Directive #00-072, dated May 18, 2000 from Vice Chancellors
Carol Wall and Janet Hamilton, a "town meeting" has been scheduled to
discuss the planned discontinuation of the use of Social Security numbers
as UC Davis student/staff/faculty identification numbers. The one-hour
meeting will be held on Friday, June 9, from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon in
room 176 Everson Hall. As Chair of the oversight committee on this issue, I
am convening this meeting and committee members will be on hand to answer
questions.
A PowerPoint presentation will be given, with a question-and-answer period
immediately following. Any suggestions regarding specific topics you would
like to have covered should be forwarded to University Registrar Jack
Farrell, at farrell@ucdavis.edu or at 752-3619.
