UC DAVIS:  BODEGA MARINE LABORATORY

SUBJECT:  CALL FOR APPLICATIONS FOR RESEARCH AND TRAVEL TO
          BODEGA MARINE LABORATORY & RESERVE FOR 1999-2000.

          1st Deadline:  June 25, 1999
          2nd Deadline:  November 8, 1999   (if funds available)

Bodega Marine Laboratory is now accepting applications for research and
travel involving the Bodega Marine Laboratory and Reserve for 1999-2000. 
Special consideration will be given to new and collaborative projects
utilizingthe facilities of the Laboratory and the Reserve.

Applications from Academic Senate members, Academic Federation members with
PI status, and graduate students should be completed on the appropriate forms,
and mailed to the BML (see address below).  Applications and awards are
limited to $1,200 in any 12 month period.

PROCEDURES:
  1.     Obtain BML Intercampus Research & Travel Grant Application forms by
email, fax, or phone call to address listed below.
  2.       Complete BML Intercampus Research & Travel Grant Budget Worksheet
and submit with application.
  3.     Complete Application form and obtain department chair's signature.
  4.     Attach a 1-2 page proposal/summary of the project.  Include a
progress report if funded in 1998-99.
  5.     Faculty and Researchers - list selected related publications for the
last five years.
  6.     Graduate students - include a letter of endorsement from major
professor.
