RE:     MAIL SERVICE TO LAWRENCE LIVERMORE NATIONAL LABORATORY 

It has been brought to our attention that mail sent to the Lawrence Livermore
Laboratory on the Berkeley Jitney is being held at the Berkeley Mail Division
and collected by Laboratory employees only once a week, on Wednesdays.  This
can result in significant delays.  

We are advising that all time-sensitive mail destined for the Lawrence
Livermore National Laboratory be sent by U. S. Mail.  This will require a
complete address, including a Zipcode and a departmental recharge number. 
Please use the following address format: 

          Individual's name
          Mail Code
          Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory
          7000 East Avenue
          Livermore  CA   94550

Letter-size envelopes should be number 10 white envelopes.  Mail that does not
meet the requirements to be sent by US Mail will continue to be sent on the
Berkeley Jitney.

The improved delivery times through the US Mail will far outweigh the
additional cost for postage.
