UC DAVIS: ALL CAMPUS DEPARTMENTS RE: Sierra Nevada Region Stage I Electrical Curtailment Alert - UPDATE We have been notified that the Stage I Alert has ended. Campus activities can return to normal and voluntary reductions in energy can cease. With the reduced temperatures it appears that we will be returning to normal operations for a period of time. Over the past two days we were able to noticeably see a reduction in the campus' energy demand and we believe that this was in direct response to those of you who took voluntary action. For that we thank you for the inconvenience that it may have caused. The region appears to be returning to normal. Our power suppliers have informed us that they will be closely monitoring the situation next week as temperatures are expected to once again rise. If an alert is once again called, we will contact you. Again, thank you for making this successful. Steve Black Director, Facilities Services Department Plant Operations Division
