SUBJECT: Call for Nominations and Applications for the Position
Associate Vice Chancellor for Research
Dear Colleagues:
I wish to invite your applications and nominations for the open
position of Associate Vice Chancellor for Research. The Associate Vice
Chancellor will play a significant leadership role in research development
at the University of California, Davis, over the next few years, and I am
eager to identify interested candidates as soon as possible. A position
description is enclosed.
The position is 0.75 FTE, and carries with it an administrative
stipend. Candidates must be members of the Davis Division of the Academic
Senate and have a strong desire to work in areas of research development
and multi-disciplinary program advancement. Candidates should have a
strong background in individual scholarship and familiarity with the
mission and responsibilities of a major research university. The preferred
starting date will be January 1, 1998.
