DEANS, DIRECTORS, DEPARTMENT CHAIRS, AND CAMPUS/UCDHS ADMINISTRATIVE OFFICERS:

RE: ASSISTANT SERIES CHANGES FOR 1997

Salary increases will be granted to student employees on the Davis campus beginning

Additionally, the Assistant I level will be eliminated effective July 1, 1997. For any
Assistant I employee who will be continuing past June 30, the department must
submit a PAF to reclassify the position to Assistant II as of July 1. PAFs should be
received in the Payroll Division by June 23 to be updated before the DaFIS conversion.

The salary increases are as follows:

Classification Current Rate New Rate
Assistant I $4.75 Eliminate this level
